Old New Year Gala 2008

For the 5th year Eventica presented a private dinner ‘Russian Old New Year Gala Dinner’. The traditional orthodox calendar was used in pre-Revolution Russia and, although no longer valid, it remains a dear and significant custom in Russia to celebrate the New Year twice.

The event — the Russian ‘Old New Year’ Gala — is an established annual celebration, which took place in the splendid surroundings of Guildhall in the City of London every January 2008. The Dinner that was originally designed as a dramatic conclusion to the Russian Winter Festival — celebrated the wealth and splendour of Russian culture.

Over the years the Gala has attracted a lot of media interest, largely due to the performers who entertain guests at the event, and the high profile society personalities, from UK and Russia, who attended the event as guests.
