The first Luxury Forum – Supreme Luxury Forum – took place in 2007 in Moscow.
Amongst the guests and media who attended the event were a French business magnate Bernard Arnault and his son Antoine Arnault; Fashion Designer Donatella Versace; British journalist and fashion critic Suzy Menkes; Fashion Designer Tom Ford; supermodel and philanthropist Natalia Vodianova; Chief executive officer for Burberry Group Angela Ahrendts; Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Russia Alyona Doletskaya and many others from the worlds of fashion, art and business.
One year later, over 40 speakers, 540 delegates and 110 senior editors and journalists from all over the world took part in the second Global Luxury Forum – a one day conference, dedicated to exploring the development of the luxury sector.
Amongst the topics covered were the impact of the global financial crisis on the luxury sector; the future of luxury; new developing markets; high-end real estate and luxury travel; wellness and private healthcare in Russia; private banking and wealth management; Russia as one of the world’s primary sources of precious metals and gems; and innovation in jewellery design.
One of the most intensively discussed themes of the conference was the jewellery sector – and the spotlight was shone firmly on palladium – touted by many as a precious metal of the future.
The metal was presented at the Global Luxury Forum by Russian mining giant Norilsk Nickel, one of the world’s leading palladium producers with 40% of the world market share.
Just like Eventica’s other large scale business events, the Global Luxury Forum served as a platform for professionals to communicate and exchange invaluable information.
The conference not only created an opportunity for brand promotion but also for distributors who were interested in forging new contacts in the industry of goods and services of luxury class.
