The 2013 Helicopter Air Games took place on 8th June at the Sywell Aerodrome in Northampton, organised by the Helicopter Club of Great Britain and sponsored by Russian Helicopters.

Eventica was engaged to enhance Russian Helicopters’ presence at the international competition, providing a range of event and communications support services, as well as design and production support for the entire competition; from branding the helicopters, to delivering merchandise and engaging local, national and specialist aviation media.

The event attracted 19 UK and international teams, individual pilots, and helicopter enthusiasts from all over the world; indeed one of the 2013 highlights was the Hummingbirds team, Russia’s first all-female, world-class helicopter squadron, supported by Russian Helicopters and Russian Helicopter Systems and promoted by Eventica.

Competitors took part in a range of classes including individual and group aerobatics, navigation, slalom and landing competitions, whilst spectators were treated to a day-long celebration of helicopter technology, and an impressive demonstration of flight, engineering and piloting prowess.
