Eventica’s design and production team were commissioned to present Ekaterinburg’s BID to host the World Expo in 2020 to the delegates of the annual World Economic Forum meeting in Davos in January 2012.
We conceived, designed and built a branded hospitality and business lounge space in a customised temporary structure in the grounds of the Hotel Seehof.
This formed the base for a full programme of networking, business and entertainment events during the course of the WEF week, giving a high level of exposure to the Ekaterinburg Expo BID.
On the eve of an important presentation in support of Ekaterinburg’s bid to host the World Expo in 2020 at the 153rd General Assembly of the Bureau International des Expositions held in Paris on 12 June 2013, Eventica was commissioned to stage a magnificent Russian themed gala dinner.
From initial design through to production, Eventica was responsible for all aspects of the event, even identifying and securing the eye-catching venue: the embankment of the River Seine, right next to the Pont Alexandre III.
Eventica delivered on a brief to boost the Ekaterinburg Expo Committee’s cause at this crucial stage in the bidding process, creating a magical celebration of the central role that Russia has played in the history of the World Expo movement that simultaneously afforded guests a glimpse of the glory, history, culture and romance of the Russian Empire.
Eventica designed and produced the Ekaterinburg World EXPO 2020 pavilion at the 2012 St Petersburg International Economic Forum.
The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, which took place between 21–23 June 2012, is a gathering of global leaders to discuss the future of the world economy and Russia’s growing presence on the international stage as the country prepares to host a series of international sporting and cultural events.
The specially designed structure attracted more than 1500 visitors from 100 different countries, and formed a physical platform where our client – Expo 2020 Ekaterinburg Bid – could network with representatives of the Bureau International des Expositions, and the top Russian officials backing the 2020 BID.
