Launch Event for 2005 Forum
Chocolate, Moscow, 8 June 2004

The 2005 Russian Economic Forum was officially launched with a very special event at "Chocolate" restaurant in Moscow on Wednesday 8 June 2004.

The evening was sponsored by KPMG, the London Mayor's Office, Vivid Collection, Hennessy, The Moscow Times and the Russian Investment Review. United Financial Group also announced its participation as a Partner for the 2005 Forum.

Simon Joseph of the Forum, Roger Munnings of KPMG, and Moty Spector of Vivid Collection each spoke briefly to guests, who included Forum speakers and other key participants, as well as a number of leading Russian journalists and foreign correspondents/bureau chiefs, and other VIPs.

The evening featured a special exhibition of the photographs of Valery Levitin, Kommersant's best known photographer, and Official Photographer of the Russian Economic Forum. There were also several video features on the Forum and Russian Rhapsody.

Chocolate proved to be an ideal choice of venue, providing a relaxed atmosphere in one of Moscow's trendiest nightspots. The over 300 participants agreed that it was a very enjoyable evening, and an extremely useful opportunity for networking. Many flew into Moscow specifically in order to attend the event, including Sinead Cahill of the London's Mayor Office.
