Marco Bevolo, Design Director, Philips Design and Author
Marco has worked since 1999 on the set up and launch of Philips Design CultureScan program, a trend forecasting ongoing research project investigating cultures, aesthetics and design at global and regional level. He was promoted to Design Director in 2003, and since then has worked in areas of communication trends, cultural trends and media relations. Marco has many published works under his belt which include "Nuova Enciclopedia della Comunicazione", as well as pieces in the renowned Japanese design magazine 'Axis' and in the Design Management Review of Boston. He has lectured at the Temasek Polytechnic of Singapore, at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, and has acted as module coordinator of the Master of Arts in Design Management at INHOLLAND of Rotterdam. As well as representing Philips Design in relations to major print and broadcast media, he has been regularly invited as speaker and chairman at ESOMAR, ENG and DMI. He is an advisory board member of the Istituto Internazionale Studi sul Futurismo of Milan and of MU art foundation at Eindhoven. In his extra curricular activities, Marco lectures in the domain of modern and contemporary art, and serves an advisory board member of the Istituto Internazionale Studi sul Futurismo of Milan, of C3 Gallery of New York and of MU art foundation at Eindhoven.
Patrice Muller, Partner, Ipolitis and Hubertus SA
Patrice Müller is the managing director of Ipolitis & Hubertus SA in Geneva, a strategic advisory and mergers & acquisitions company specialized in the luxury goods industry. Since 1999, Ipolitis & Hubertus SA has the privilege to advise some of the most famous watch & jewellery brands, luxury and diamond groups in the world. He began his career at Richemont, where he was involved in the group’s industrial logistics. Then he worked 7 years at PriceWaterhouseCoopers, initially as consultant in strategy and then as director of the M&A practice, specialized in the luxury goods industry. Mr Müller has a master in Economics of the University of Neuchâtel, and is currently Course Director of the MBA program in Luxury Brand Management, at l’ESSEC Business School in Paris.
