UAE Business Dinner, Moscow

Eventica was proud to organise a meeting and dinner for a senior-level delegation of business leaders and government officials from the United Arab Emirates in Moscow on Monday 30 March 2009. The event took place on the occasion of the Official Visit to Russia by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, on 30-31 March.

The Dinner, a private event hosted by His Excellency Omar Saif Ghobash, UAE Ambassador to the Russian Federation, took place at the Ararat Park Hyatt hotel in central Moscow. Amongst the guests were the key players in Emirati finance and investment, including HE Omar Mohammed Bin Suleiman, Governor of the Dubai International Financial Centre; HE Soud Ba’alawy, Executive Chairman of Dubai Group; and HE Abdulrahman Saif Al Ghurair, Chairman of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Russian guests included Victor Vekselberg, Chairman of Renova Group; Oleg Vyugin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of MDM Bank; Yuri Soloviev, CEO of VTB Capital; Grigoriy Berezkin, Chairman of ESN; and Sergey Generalov, President of Industrial Investors. Both Victor Vekselberg and Oleg Vyugin made speeches at the Dinner.

Reflecting the general mood of the visit of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Dinner provided a private and relaxed opportunity for the strengthening of the UAE-Russian business and investment relationship, and Eventica was pleased to be able to arrange the event as part of its broader effort to promote partnership and dialogue between Russia and the United Arab Emirates.
