Team Barbados Participates in Moscow Regatta for First Time
Moscow – On Sunday 1 August a team representing Barbados participated in the Mildberry Moscow Regatta, an event at the Royal Yacht Club, Moscow, which brings together sailing enthusiasts, Russian celebrities and socialites, as well as leading journalists and representatives of the Russian travel industry.
Russian Tour Operators Turn Out in Force for Barbados Promotion
On Friday 2 July, representatives of leading Russian travel companies gathered for a special evening reception with Robert Keysselitz, the Barbados Tourism Authority’s Vice President – Europe, to discuss how best to promote Barbados in Russian market. The reception, part of the BTA’s first ever full Continental Europe marketing campaign, truly launched the island in Russia.

EVENTICA PARTICIPATES IN BARBADOS PLANNING MEETING
From 28 May to 4 June 4, 2010, Eventica participated in a series of strategic meetings in Barbados as part of the Barbados Tourism Authority’s Continental Europe marketing campaign. As well as an opportunity to experience the delights of the island, a productive week was spent developing ideas with colleagues from Germany, the UK, Sweden, Italy, France, Holland and Belgium as to how best to promote Barbados. The meetings were led by the BTA’s Vice President – Europe, Robert Keysselitz. Mr Keysselitz will visit Moscow in early July as part of the process of building stronger relationships with local tourism industry partners.
EVENTICA TO REPRESENT RAS AL KHAIMAH INVESTMENT AUTHORITY IN RUSSIA AND THE CIS
Ras Al Khaimah Investment Authority has appointed Eventica as its official PR and marketing representative in Russia. Eventica’s full-service Representative Office will be directly accountable to the Emirate and will run a highly-targeted PR and marketing campaign to raise awareness and promote Ras Al Khaimah (RAK), both as an investment and a tourist destination. The year-long programme, including media outreach throughout the CIS and press trips the Emirate, will be kicked off with a RAK Roadshow in Moscow. Showcasing RAK investment opportunities, the Roadshow will bring a senior-level delegation of business leaders and government officials from RAK to Moscow.

Pangaea Network now offers its clients travel marketing solutions in 16 international markets including Europe, Russia & CIS, United Kingdom and USA.
Moscow Motion shines spotlight on Atlantis, The Palm
As part of our programme of activities to generate Russian and CIS media attention on Atlantis, The Palm in Dubai, Eventica relocated its annual party event, Moscow Motion, to the exclusive Nasimi Beach at Atlantis. The event, a glamorous Russian party, has taken place in some of London’s most iconic venues for the past four years and has consistently attracted the Russian elite. Its debut in Dubai was no different, attracting 1000 guests from both Russia and Dubai, it created a whirlwind of interest and attention focused on Atlantis, The Palm. Eventica flew in journalists from Russia including those from Harpers Bazaar, OK Magazine, Robb Report and Luxe TV, whilst the local media in attendance included the likes of Harpers Bazaar ME, Grazia ME, Esquire Magazine, Gulf News and Dubai Eye. In September alone Moscow Motion had successfully generated $377,000 worth of pre-event coverage for the Atlantis, The Palm in Russia.
Eventica lands opportunity to promote Barbados
Eventica is proud to now be affiliated with the Pangaea network, an international organisation of independent PR agencies in the travel and tourism sectors. In September, Eventica joined Pangaea partners from the UK and Germany in Barbados to pitch to the Barbados Tourism Authority, which was looking for an agency partner to promote the island throughout Europe, including Russia. The pitch process saw us up against some stiff competition; however we were able to demonstrate that our knowledge and expertise of the Russian market – as well as the Europe-wide reach of Pangaea – was unparalleled. The pitch was a success and we are delighted to announce that the Barbados Tourism Authority has duly appointed Pangaea as its European PR network.
Rio 2016 team given strong PR platform
In October 2009, Eventica organised an exclusive on-stage interview between CNN Sports Anchor Pedro Pinto and Eduardo Paes, Mayor of Rio De Janeiro. Just two weeks previously Rio were successful in their historic bid to host the 2016 Summer Olympics. This meant Eventica provided the first European platform for companies and media to meet the 2016 team. The Mayor, a high profile member of the Rio Delegation, was put to the test by Pinto who voiced everybody’s concerns about Rio’s ability to stage such a major global event. Pinto held back no punches throughout and brought up the violence and riots which had broken out in Rio de Janerio just a few days prior to the interview; however Paes’ bare and honest approach to the hard-hitting questions made it difficult for anyone who watched the interview to leave without anything but a sentiment of hope and excitement for the first city in South America to host the Olympic Games.

Eurovision 2009 PR Campaign
Eventica provided media and PR support for Andrew Lloyd Webber and young singer Jade Ewen, who represented the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 in Moscow. As part of our promotion for Lord Lloyd Webber, the creator of international hit musicals such as Cats, Phantom of the Opera, Jesus Christ Superstar and many others, Eventica organised interviews with Russian media and face-to-face meetings with influential business, political and cultural leaders. A highlight of this campaign was an exclusive interview between Andrew Lloyd Webber and Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, which was facilitated by Eventica. This meeting was broadcast on BBC TV and all major Russian TV networks. The result: the UK’s Eurovision Song entry achieved the best score in recent memory – back to the glory days of Bucks Fizz!
PRESS-MISSION FOR ZAYA
In July 2008 Eventica organised a bespoke press-mission of top Russian luxury lifestyle and travel media editors to Abu Dhabi for ZAYA – one of the leading luxury developers in the UAE. The participants for the press-mission included Robb Report, GQ Russia, Tatler, Finans and Forbes Style Magazine. During the press-mission, the editors of these key publications were offered a helicopter tour to the unique Nurai Island development – ZAYA’s brand new project. As the result of the press-mission, a string of articles appeared in the Russian media, generating some high value PR for ZAYA in a key target market.8
One & Only
In February 2009, Kerzner International, the global holiday resort developer, appointed Eventica to handle its PR and media relations strategy in Russia and the CIS for One&Only Resorts. The One&Only brand comprises a portfolio of luxury, award-winning resorts in the most idyllic spots in the world, including One&Only Reethi Rah in the Maldives; One&Only Le Saint Géran in Mauritius; One&Only Royal Mirage in Dubai; One&Only Ocean Club in The Bahamas and One&Only Palmilla in Los Cabos, Mexico. In April 2009, Kerzner International launched One&Only Cape Town, setting a new standard for luxury in South Africa.

In February 2009, Kerzner International, the global holiday resort developer, appointed Eventica to handle its PR and media relations strategy in Russia and the CIS for Atlantis, The Palm in Dubai. Following its recent opening in Dubai, Atlantis, The Palm has already established itself as Dubai’s premier family resort destination, boasting a host of facilities including Aquaventure, a water park packed with thrilling rides, fantastic, marine habitats, world-class cuisine and the landmark luxury hotel itself, standing at the apex of the stunning, man-made Palm Jumeirah island.
Mildberry – brand building solutions
In May 2009, the long-term and successful cooperation between Eventica and international branding agency Mildberry reached a new stage, when Eventica became the official PR-representative of the agency. MILDBERRY is an international branding and design consultancy with unique creative resources and successful experience in brand strategy, brand identity, brand communication and brand and package design.
IGOR YURGENS ON HARD TALK
In April 2009, Eventica organised a one-off interview of Igor Yurgens, the head of the liberal-leaning Institute of Contemporary Development and Adviser to Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, for HARDtalk – the hard-hitting BBC television programme, consisting of an in-depth half-hour one-on-one interview. HARDtalk has featured some of the world’s best-known personalities, who have subjected themselves to the rigorous questioning by presenter Stephen Sackur.
